Amado Barcena, Sr.
Amado Expression Barcena, Sr., 91, of Keaau, died April 4, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Sept. 16, 1946, in Pangasinan, Philippines, he was a retired papaya packer and a veteran in the U.S. Army (Philippine Scout). He also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call from 8-10 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 10 a.m. prayer service. Casual attire, with burial at noon at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by sons, Jaime Barcena, Samuel (Wilma) Barcena, Amado (Alona) Barcena, Jr. and Winston (Gernalyn) Barcena all from Keaau; daughters, Tita Barcena, Juliet (Leonardo) Bergonia and Wennie (Ruben) Garlitos of Keaau; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Laurdis Erece
Laurdis P. Erece, 89, of Pahala, died April 5, 2018, at Ka’u Hospital. Born on Dec. 6, 1928, in Waipahu, she was a retired hand harvester for the former Mauna Loa MacNut farms, homemaker and a member of the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. celebration of Mass. Casual attire. Flowers are welcomed. Burial to follow at the Pahala Catholic Cemetery.
She is survived by sons, Peter (Fely) Erece of Arizona, Rudy (Evan) Erece of Keaau and Moises (Helena) Erece of Volcano; daughters, Carlina (Nasario) Villahermosa, Fely (Melchor) Fernandez, Teresita (Joseph) Arce and Josefina (Dayten) Erece all from Pahala, Guadalupe (Mamerto, Jr.) Blanco of Naalehu and Mary Jane (Kent) Eger of Arizona; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Feliza Agustin
Feliza S. Agustin, 75, of Pahoa, died March 14, 2018, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born on May 28, 1942, in Ilocos Norte, Laoag City, Philippines, she retired from Puna Flowers and she also was a member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. celebration of Mass. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed. Burial to follow at Pahoa Catholic Cemetery.
She is survived by daughter, Emiliana S. (Jed “Tito”) Ramos of Pahoa; brothers, Victor (Anita) Simon, Jr. of Pahoa and Federico Simon of Philippines; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Terry Baxter
Terry Ann Baxter, 68, of Honokaa, died May 15, 2017, at her home. Born July 18, 1948, in El Centro, Calif., she was a retired social worker, member of the Lions Club, a costume designer, traveler and ballroom dancer.
Private service held. Scattering of her ashes will be at a later date.
She is survived by son, Jeremy (Lai Chow) Marcott of Singapore; sister Ina (Bob) Ralston of Honokaa; brothers, Derbie (Barbara) Baxter of Alaska, Richie (Sue) Baxter of California; one granddaughter; numerous friends from all over the world.

Sunny Lee Cuba
Sunny Lee (Galariada) Cuba, 62, of Hilo, died March 14, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. She was born on July 24, 1955, in Honolulu.
Services were held.
She is survived by daughters, Lecia Cuba and Shantelle Cuba; sisters, Ivy (Doug) Denny and Lecia (Brian) Davis; brothers, Renwick Galariada, Sr. and Jason Reno Galariada, Sr.; hanai sister, Lynn Kaleo Ahyo; and seven grandchildren.
